I haven't had any issues reported by other reviewers (cracked or broken parts). I've used this regularly to blend smoothies (with juice, ice, and/or frozen fruit) for the last year and it is the best smoothie blender I've owned. The container is not glass, so it is extremely light -- that makes it SO easy to rinse clean after using. And the container shape is very wide near the cutting blades so I hardly ever have to stir or scrape the sides while blending. With glass blenders I've used before, they usually are very narrow by the blades and I usually had to stir or scrape to get a good vortex going, but not with this Villaware blender. I love the simplicity of the dial power setting -- much more pleasing than the common rows of power setting buttons. I would recommend this to anyone who blends smoothies regularly.
