I am very happy with my purchase. Many years ago I had a similar krumkake iron which had reversible grids, which would have been nice as well. The instructions are very clear and the cookies came out perfectly.
The end result is a cookie that is elegant and tasty. I used the dowel to make the rolled up version and left some flat.
